Israel vs. Lebanon - My Take on the Situation
Unlike some of you out there, I'm not buying any of the shit I've heard on CNN. (On a side note: I finally got Cable TV)
Several reporters kept repeating the same thing over and over again this morning. "The Israeli government said there might be a small chance of a ground invasion." Really? A small chance, you say? That's why the entire fucking Israeli military is loading up their tanks and heading for the border?
It's times like these that prove that CNN cannot be trusted. Not only do they cling to small possibilities of indifference, but they also can't pick a fucking side. One minute they're prattling on about the inevitable "but still a maybe" ground invasion. Next minute they're posting some random Lebanese blogger's opinion on a Live television feed.
While most people are distracted by their John Kerry press tactics (which invariably fail in both cases), I'm sitting there stunned as to how and why such morons ever came to be in charge of mainstream news media.
CNN's horrible broadcasting aside, I'm appalled at the ignorance of some of the people whose opinions I've had the misfortune of hearing. Thanks, CNN, for broadcasting the opinions of those who are so ignorant that they make a Klansman's mind look as expansive as the cosmos.
Let me start by saying that I support Israel in this war, completely, so long as the US doesn't get dragged into it. I mean, hell, it's their war to fight and their right to declare such a war, as much as it's our right to support them financially and keep our troops over in Iraqistan (as Bush would say).
And now for a little history lesson. The Jews (or Israellites, or Hebrews, or Kerosene, or whatever the fuck else you call them) have been dealing with constant torment since their exodus from Egypt several millenia ago. After wandering around the desert for 40 years eating snowflakes, they came upon the "Promised Land." From that point on, the Egyptians left them alone and the Arabs started in on them.
All throughout the Old Testament are accounts of war with the Palestinians, Turks, Persians, you name it. They've been fending off these crazy sons-a-bitches for countless centuries.
Then, during the Medieval era, Jews were persecuted because the spreading of plagues coincided with the arrival of Jewish settlers. More chaos erupted, and many Jewish people were killed.
After a few hundred years of dealing with countless acts of antisemitism, Adolf Hitler begins his genocidal campaign. Before he begins doing so, he asks the government if they'll accept all of the Jews that he planned on evicting. The president declined and over 6 million of them are killed. In response to this, his successor felt guilty and the United States has supported Israel since then.
But it doesn't end there. Palestinians were kicked off their land in order to accomodate the nation of Israel, so they've been suicide-bombing the Israelites ever since. Israel tried to compromise and hand over the Gaza strip, but that wasn't enough. The radical muslims wouldn't leave them alone. They kept suicide bombing school buses, they kept kidnapping and beheading civilians.
And that, ladies and gentlemen (and the rest of you), is why we're in the current situation we're in right now. The Israeli Jews are fed up with everyone else's bullshit, and they need to attack Lebanon, lest they go berserk and declare war on the entire Middle East at once and the United States gets dragged into the war.
Because I'll tell ya one thing: I will never be drafted. If I support the war, I'll volunteer. If I don't, "O' Canada..."
Israel has every right to fuck them up, the sons-a-bitches have it coming. also while all thats going on why don't beat dick cheney to death with the same defibulator they use to revive his fat old ass every time he has a heart attack.
What I Learned From Politics And PR
Lesson #427: Technically ANYTHING human has a non-100% chance of occurring until it occurs, and if we class 'small' as 'less than 100% probability'...
A cease fire will do nothing. They will either still fight, still massacre, arm themselves, gather up, spy, etc. It could end up like the Korean Cease Fire, but taht will do nothing, not in the middle east.
I'm tired of hearing about The middle east, it's never anything past War and Oil... Either take over the place and end all those problems, or Leave it the hell alone and dont tell me someone was suicide-bombed each and every day...
