What's the Difference?
People who look half-assed into the three Abrahamic religions often wonder what IS the difference between the three? If you realize they all follow the Old Testament, and nothing else, then this should help clear things up.
First, let us analyze the symbology of the three religions, followed by a synopsis of how a common follower of that religion acts.
- Christianity
The average Christian tries to respect everyone's opinion, but often lets their belief get in the way of that. For example, one might feel it to be necessary to try to sway someone towards their religion and thus save them from eternal damnation. When I happen to be the person they're trying to sway, they get a mouthful of doubt when I ask them questions they can't answer about Christianity.
- Judaism
Jewish people are actually very open-minded. Jewish people can accept very strange ideas (reincarnation, for example). They will not try and force their religion on you. In fact, Judaism is one of the hardest religions to convert to. Jews are confident of their religion and don't feel the need to convert other people to it. Some might be arrogant and claim to be one of god's chosen people, but you don't find it that often.
- Islam
The average Muslim prays to Allah five times per day. The average Muslim woman deprives herself of sunlight, thus making her suffer Vitamin A deficiencies. The average Muslim man will die for what he believes in, and often does (while taking many other lives with him).
lmao Very Nice, and I agree, it is true that on the wide scale of things, All three are generally the same:
-All Generally Monotheistic
-All Believe In Good and Bad Afterlives
-All Abrahamic (As Said By Kobra)
-All Middle Eastern
-All Based in or Around Israel
-All Have Major Prophets (Jesus, Elijah, Muhammud)
-All Follow a Set Of Ancient Texts (Bible, Torah, Koraan*)
Yeah lol Pretty much, The Only thing I disagree with is That Christians Follow the New testament lol, They only accept the Old Testament as Reference and Guidelines, but the New Testament is Supreme to the Old.
I do like the Islamic symbol as the bomb lol. Though I think it is Supposed to be the Moon-And-Star symbol.
