It's about goddamn time!
I have a lot of stuff to mention. In fact, I have so much to mention that it's a waste of effort typing it into my little announcement box just so I can erase it in a week's time.
Jack Thompson is Disbarred!
According to Game Politics, the zealous crusader that is John Bruce "Jack" Thompson has finally been disbarred. All at once now: Took them long enough! The fact that it took as long as it did goes to show how inept the entire state of Florida really is.
Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition has been officially released!
Today is June 6, 2008-- the day that D&D 4th Edition hits gaming shelves everywhere. Unfortunately for Wizards of the Coast, it was leaked online about a week ago and I'm already disappointed with a few changes in game mechanics. Most notably:
Every class is straight-forward and has little-to-no customization.
In 3.5, Cloudkill combined with a high-level Teleport spell could wipe out an entire continent. In 4.0, it's a little puff that disappears at the end of the next turn. LAME!
Other than the fact that they made character development very linear and weakened the best mass-homicide spell, I can't complain too much.
Other than that, I now have a High School diploma and I'm college-bound.
