Am I the only one who's sick of the stupid shit circulating on the news channels? The latest crime against logic is the idea that "Joe Biden is going to have to watch his words when he debates Sarah Palin."
Why? Because she's a woman? A debate is a place for challenging the facts and logic presented by the other side. Rhetoric and the nearly extinct "weaker sex" meme have no place in the realm of political debate.
So why do these reporters keep pushing this stupid, outmoded idea onto Americans? Self-fulfilling prophecy. If they maintain a continuous meta-discussion about sexism, racism, etc. for long enough, the unwashed masses will begin to perpetuate it. Then every dipshit with a journalism degree will rush to report on the racism/sexism of America while suppressing a shit-eating grin that says "I told you so." Arrogant bastards.
Joe Biden doesn't need to pick his words carefully. All Biden needs to do is come equipped with facts to throw in Palin's face and send her back to the kitchen. Now, some people might think that joke was tasteless. Blame CNN.
