I don't give a damn what country you come from; if you come here illegally, you are a criminal. As things are right now, "[Illegal] Immigrants' Rights Groups" are supporting efforts that equate to harboring criminals and obstructing justice.
These "pro-amnesty" activists bitch and moan about contrite details (e.g. "Not all [illegal] immigrants commit crimes [except the ones they break by entering the United States].") and claim that we should welcome illegal immigrants from Mexico with open arms while snubbing illegal immigrants from the other 190-something countries whose citizens absolutely have to follow the legal immigration channels.
To these activists, I pose the question: How do you support amnesty under the guise of fighting discrimination and not realize the irony or the overwhelming hypocrisy?
When you offer amnesty to Cuba and Mexico, how does this act of "kindness" translate to the Japanese who would have to swim across the Pacific Ocean in order to come here illegally? How is this amnesty proposal anything but discrimination?
If these nationalist bastards weren't hypocritical enough, they keep calling the actions of border security agents-- who are doing their fucking job and enforcing the existing laws-- "Gestapo-like."
You want to see Gestapo-like? Elect me as President; I'll have my agents point a gun at random illegal aliens and tell them to decide which of the other illegals will die. That would be Gestapo-like. The actions of our current border agents don't violate any national or international laws, so kindly shut the hell up.
What amnesty activists should say.
Even if these pious bastards were protesting for universal amnesty, I would still be opposed to it. My great grandparents escaped from Poland with the Nazis breathing down their Catholic necks and they were still able to learn English and migrate legally. Why should a nation with a geographical advantage be treated special?
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
