Two Physical Laws of Intelligence
I am neither a physicist nor a psychologist, but if that won't stop religious fanatics from coming up with off-the-wall theories, why should I be held to a different standard?
With that fallacious logic in mind, here are two theories in which the laws of physics apply to intelligence:
Magnetism
The smarter one is, the more idiots one shall run into. If you've ever driven on a freeway in Florida, this concept should be no stranger to you. It seems like us sensible people always end up on the road surrounded by fucking idiots. Perhaps it's because the more insightful we are, the dumber the people around us seem; but the sheer density of these encounters can only be adequately explained by magnetism.
Entropy
The more people reside in a room, the lower the difference of their IQs. People act different around their friends than they do around strangers, but that still doesn't explain why crowds of strangers go batshit insane so easily. Psychologists probably have an explanation, but since I'm playing the role of the fundamentalist creationist I don't have time to listen to it. Instead, I postulate that entropy applies to the intelligence in the sense that a smart person and a dumb person in close range will even out to average-- and we all know how dumb average is.
I might be onto something... or, more likely, out of my mind.
